Yes, as part of the Residential Design Guidelines, energy efficient appliances, windows, building materials and construction techniques are encouraged throughout the community. Some homes will be entirely net-zero energy homes (houses that generate as much energy as they consume). Homes will also take advantage of solar potential and daylighting.
